Components for weight hoisting cranes are an important tool to improve efficiency, safety and reliability of their work. The expenses, associated with equipping the crane with the additional crane options, are compensated with interest by the additional features that they give.
Types of the supplied components:
1. Crane gearboxes.
It is a construction, which can significantly increase the torque while reducing the speed. The most frequently crane gearboxes work in the mechanisms in conjunction with the same type of motor.
The main scope of crane gearboxes is the hoisting devices and devices operating on the crane principle. Crane gearboxes shall be able to withstand uneven and relatively high load and operate in a continuous operation of start-stop.
2. Frequency converters.
For a smooth and safe movement of weight with bridge cranes, the opportunity of moving weight with multiple speeds is used. The frequency converters on the mechanisms of movement are used for this. One inverter is put on the motor. This gives the more accurate and smoother speed change of moving the crane devices of the crane movement.
3. Trailer trucks.
They move the crane on the crane runway along the shop. They consist of beams, wheel blocks and geared motors (in handy ones there is not a crane-beams and a gearmotor available). Trailer trucks for supported cranes are constructed to make a rail travel. Trailer trucks for supported cranes are suspended on I-beams. Double-girder cranes and double-girder goliath cranes are sometimes equipped with four or even eight trailer trucks linked together (boogies). In this case, a bridge or goliath crane is driven by four (eight) drives and four (eight) free wheels.
4. Overload protectors.
They provide the protection for hoisting equipment against extreme loads. In case of overload excess over the quota target GLDD the hoisting device is automatically put off. The application of GLDD is an insurance preventing the damage to the hoisting equipment. The application of overload protectors is relevant, when a hoist weight capacity is equiponderance to a weight (e.g. the maximum lift of a hoist is 5 tons and weight is also 5 tons).
5. Crane crabs.
The construction of any double-girder bridge and double-girder goliath cranes consists of a crane (weight) crab with the hoisting and load engagement mechanism. At the operational requirement, a crane crab is equipped with two hoisting mechanisms: main and auxiliary. The crane capacity is characterized by the main hoister capacity. A crane crab can be of both a winch and telpher type.
6. Equalizing beams
This hoisting device is used on cranes for working with different types of weight. Equalizing beams are an intermediate link between a crane hook and weight, and prevent the damage to the weight, when it is moved. They can be used for hoisting long and large-scale weights. The construction of equalizing beams is determined by the external dimensions of the weight, the conditions under which the operation of equalizing beams will occur and the specifications of the crane on whose hook they are suspended.
7. Crane scales.
They are designed to measure the mass of suspended and transported weights with cranes. They can be used both in production areas and outdoors in all weather conditions. Crane scales are a hook of a crane equipped with an electronic weight measuring device.
8. Crane runways.
Crane runways for bridge and goliath cranes consist of:
• crane beams or girders;
• brake constructions having transverse horizontal loads;
• connections providing toughness and invariability of crane substructures;
• crane rails with fixings;
• track buffer stops.
9. Cable winder drums.
They are used as the current leads for the automatic winding of a flexible electrical cable to the portal, goliath cranes, bridge cranes for clamshell and magnetic grabs, electric hoists, transborder, freight trucks and the other hoisting equipment. Most cable winder drums have a winding limiter that allows setting the desired length of a cable slack.
10. Move platforms.
It is an accessory device to move various weights in hard-to-get-to places for crane equipment. Trucks (platforms) move along a shop on the specially mounted rail tracks in the floor, either manually or with an electric drive. Also trucks are used for transporting weights from one span industrial building to another and between shops.
11. Electric hoists.
It is a suspended hoisting device with an electric drive, which provides a considerable speed of hoisting and moving weight along the beams. Electric hoists provide the effectiveness of any industry, they are widely used in industry and manufacturing, and are used during the construction, in garages and warehouses.
12. Hand hoists.
They are designed for hoisting weights in repairing, installing and the other types of work. Hand hoists can be installed permanently or on a mobile trolley (carriage) moving on a suspended monorail track, when there is a need for a horizontal movement of hoisted loads. Operation of hand hoists is available both outdoors and indoors.
