In terms of intended use the slurry pumps are close to sand pumps, but transfer the slurries with higher density of solids (up to 2500 kg/m3) and larger solids.
Slurry pumps are designed for transfer of gravel, sand and gravel, slag, bottom-ash and other abrasive slurries.
The main factors in choosing the right slurry pump include the speed of rotation, materials, operating point and gland packing.
Rotation speed is the main factor affecting the service life of slurry transfer pumps. It is usually assumed that, under other equal conditions a slower pump has a longer service life than a faster one in proportion to the ratio of speeds to the power of 2.5 (some manufacturers indicate an exponent of 3.0).
There are two main types of centrifugal slurry pumps – metal and rubber coated.
Rubber-coated pumps are often chosen to work with slurries with solid particles less than 6.5 mm (0.25 inch) in diameter. In severe cases, ceramics is now used to increase the resistance of pumps to abrasion. Rubber-coated pumps are effective for slime transfer.
Metal slurry pumps can be made of various materials depending on the properties of transferred slurry. Typically, 28% chrome steel is used for transfer of abrasive slurry

Pumps of AH series for the most severe operating conditions have a wide range of use. Pumps are manufactured with lining of various alloys. Linings are fully interchangeable.
AH pump is the global standard for the most severe operating conditions. A wide variety of impellers and shaft seals allows you to choose the best options for a wide range of use. AH series pumps offer long service life keeping the operational efficiency of the equipment and providing the minimum common costs throughout the operation period.

2. Slurry pumps of HH series.
These are the horizontal centrifugal slurry pumps used for transferring of aggressive highly abrasive slurries. Impeller and enclosure lining of series HH slurry pump are made only of wear-resistant alloy.
Size DN (discharge): 25-150 mm.
Capacity: 16-1125 m3/h.
Head: 12-95 m.
3. Slurry pumps of M series
Designed to transfer the slurry suspension of weak concentration, pH 5-12, in the mining and chemical industries. Suitable for conditions with high flow rate and low head.
Pump housing consists of two halves with a cross connector. Minimum number of housing bolts reduces the downtime for maintenance. Pump flow parts can be made of either wear-resistant alloy or corrosion-resistant metals, as well as of various elastomeric materials. Both metal and rubber flow parts, or combinations thereof, are used interchangeably for the same pump.
