Hydraulic machines where mechanical energy of the drive motor is converted into energy of the liquid flow are now called simply water pumps. The main purpose of these units is moving streams of water and creation of pressure of various types of fluids, as well as moving mechanical mixtures of liquids with colloidal and solid substances. Liquids move in water pumps due to the pressure difference in the pipe and in the unit.
Classification of water pumps is quite extensive, and these hydraulic machines are divided depending on various factors – the intended purpose, the principle of action, the design, implementation, and the type of pumped liquid. By the purpose they are divided into units for pumping clean water, where there are no alloys, the wastewater pumps (drainage pumps) and pumps for pumping sewage.
Classification of water pumps by the principle of action - surface (which in turn are subdivided into centrifugal and peripheral), immersed (wells and pit), as well as bulk with domination of pressure force, and dynamic, dominated by inertial forces. Pumps for water are divided by the nature of the compound of the working chamber with entrance and exit - periodical compound (in dynamic pump) and a continuous compound (for dynamic pump).
Surface pumps produce fence by suction, place them outside water source. Submersible pumps, hanging on a rope, are put down into the water. This type refers to the units with different numbers of centrifugal impellers. Submersible water pumps are used to lift water from the level of limestone or sand aquifer.
Types of the supplied pumps:
1. Cantilever pump "К".
This centrifugal horizontal cantilever single stage pump is drawing on the body and on the front; pump and motor are mounted on a common frame; driven by an electric motor via a flexible coupling.
Pumps of type ‘K’ are used in the pumping stations of urban, industrial and agricultural water supply - for drainage, irrigation and watering land, for pumping water and neutral liquids;
Climatic modification and placement category - pumps of type ‘K’ - УХЛ4;
Pumped liquid - fresh water (potable and technical) and non-explosive liquid, similar to water in density, viscosity (36 cSt) and chemical activity; with pH from 6 to 9%.
Pumping environment - stationary; the pump can be operated with vacuum and with overpressure at the inlet.
2. Monoblock cantilever pumps ‘КМ’.
Purpose: to pump light oil at temperatures from -40 to +50 ⁰С with density not more than 1000 kg /m3, viscosity of 0.55 to 6.0 mm2/s, with a content of suspended solids in an amount of not more than 0.2% and not larger than 0.2 mm. Pumps are designed for use in hazardous areas, indoor and outdoor installations of classes 1 or 2 in accordance with ГОСТ Р51330.9, which can form explosive mixtures of flammable gases or vapors with air in Categories IIA and IIB, and explosion groups T1, T2, T3, T4 ГОСТ Р51330.5.
In electric pumps for oil pumping working bodies made of steel 35Л, sealing rings are made of bronze, special mechanical seal is used, motor is asynchronous three-phase and explosion-proof.
3. Linear circulative monoblock pumps ‘ЛМ’.
Purpose: for pumping clean water of production and industrial purposes (except sea water) at pH 6 ... 9 in stationary conditions, the temperature from 273 to 358 К (0 to 85 ⁰С) with a single soft gland, from 273 to 413 K (from 0 to 140 ⁰С) with the mechanical seal and other liquids similar to water in density, viscosity and chemical activity, containing solids in an amount of not more than 0.1% by volume and a particle size of not more than 0.2 mm.
Electric pump shaft seal type of ‘ЛМ’ is single gland or single mechanical. Maximum permissible pressure at the inlet of the pump: pump with a soft gland – 0.35 MPa (3.5 kgf /cm2), with mechanical seal 0.8 MPa (8.0 kgf/cm2). Flowing part material is gray cast iron.
4. Double entrance pumps ‘Д’.
Apply at the pumping stations of urban, industrial and agricultural water supply, including irrigation and drainage of fields and in other industries.
Designed for pumping water and other liquids similar to water in viscosity up to 36 × 10ˉ6 m²/s (36 cSt), and chemical activity with temperatures from 0 to 85 ⁰С not containing solids by weight more than 0.05%, the size of a 0.2 mm and 6.5 GPa microhardness (650kgs/mm²). Pumps (units) are not intended for use in explosion and fire dangerous facilities.
Flowing part material - gray cast iron; shaft seal of the electric pump is double gland sealing.
5. Section pumps ‘ЦНС’, ‘ЦНСГ’, ‘ЦНСМ’.
Sectional pumps are mainly used for pumping fresh water at temperatures up to 105 ⁰С.
Multistage multisection pumps ‘ЦНС’, ‘ЦНСГ’ designed for pumping water at 1-105 ⁰С. Mass fraction of solids in the liquid can be pumped up to 0.1% solids size should not exceed 0.1 mm. Pumps ‘ЦНС’ and ‘ЦНСГ’ moves the fluid handled by several impellers in series mounted on the same shaft in one case.
Sectional construction of the pump allows you to change the liquid flow without changing its capacity.
Pump ‘ЦН’ ЦН 400 is a pump for general industrial use. Pumps ‘ЦН’, for example ЦН 400, is a model widely used for pumping water in water supply systems of municipal, industrial and agricultural projects. Such pumps proved to be good being used for irrigation and drainage.
To circulate the water the so-called circulation pumps ‘ЦВЦ’ are used. Pumps ‘ЦВЦ’ are often used in water supply systems of private houses and industrial facilities. All items in this series of pumps are made of modern materials which have no effect on water quality.
‘ЦНС’ pumps are multistage centrifugal and multisection.
Pumps ‘ЦНС’ 13-70 ... 350, ‘ЦНС’ 38-44 ... 220, ‘ЦНС’ 60-66 ... 330 are designed for pumping water with pH 7-8.5, with a mass fraction mechanical impurities not more than 0.1% and the amount of particulate matter less than 0.1 mm and a temperature from 1 to 45 ⁰С.
Pumps ‘ЦНСГ’ 13-70 ... 350, ‘ЦНСГ’ 38-44 ... 220, ‘ЦНСГ’ 60-66 ... 330 too, but with the water temperature is up to 105 ⁰С.
Pumps ‘ЦНСМ’ 13-70 ... 350, ‘ЦНСМ’ 38-44 ... 220, ‘ЦНСМ’ 60-66 ... 330 are designed to work in the oil system of turbine generators to supply oil to the seal bearings. Working fluid is T22 turbine oil. Kinematic viscosity of 20-23 cSt at 50 ⁰С oil temperature, density 0.9 g/cm3 with the oil temperature of 20 ⁰С.
Pumps ‘ЦНСН’ 13-70 ... 350, ‘ЦНСН’ 38-44 ... 220, ‘ЦНСН’ 60-66 ... 330 are designed to transfer watery gas-saturated salable oil at a temperature of 274 °K (1 ⁰С) to 318 °K (45 ⁰С) in the pipeline gathering systems and transportation of oil.
